Bonnie Geraldine Layne Grubb Stone

Bonnie Geraldine Layne Grubb Stone, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

She was born in Wytheville, Virginia on August 7, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Kyle C Layne and Ethel Shelton Layne. Geraldine was a former employee of Anderson Hosiery Mills/Collins and Aikman/Ithaca Industries. She was an active and faithful volunteer for the Hospice Store of Greenwood for many years, a Methodist by faith and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Debbie G. Davenport (Gerald) of Kinards and Teresa G. Gambrell (Robert) of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Bryant Davenport (Angie), Barron Davenport (Lindsey), Trey Gambrell, Tyler Gambrell (Stephanie),Taylor Clevenger (Forrest), Turner Gambrell; her great-grandchildren, Janey Davenport, Noah Davenport, Natalie Marie Davenport, Marley Marie Davenport, Hannah Gambrell, Robbie Clevenger, Haleigh Gambrell, Skyler Clevenger, Hunter Gambrell, Will Gambrell, Presley Gambrell and Layne Gambrell.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her two husbands, Mason Grubb and Ray Stone; her brother, Darrell Layne; her sister, Arlene Haymaker and her granddaughter, Dana Marie Davenport.

A Private Family Service will be held.
