Anthony "Tony" Tinsley

Anthony “Tony” Tinsley, age 68, of 307 Sims Street, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Joanna and was the son of the late William Rufus and Cleo Smith Tinsley.
Mr. Tinsley was a former employee of Asten Johnson and E.L. Mansure and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Shawn Tinsley (Carolyn) of Clinton; his daughter, Tonya Tinsley (John Summers) of Joanna; his sister, Susan Thompson (Dino) of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Brandon Tinsley, Katelyn Tinsley, Hunter Tinsley and Cameron Summers.
He was predeceased by wife, Janice Elaine Tinsley, and daughter, Laurie Elaine Tinsley.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 23rd, for close family and friends, from 4 to 7 PM at the home, 307 Sims Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 250 Commonwealth Drive, Suite 105, Greenville, SC 29615.
