Annie Earwood Mars, age 73, of 18397 Hwy 121 and widow of John “Jr.” H. Mars, Jr, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her home.
She was born in Laurens County and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Maude Harris Earwood.
Mrs. Mars worked in the textiles a good part of her life and retired from Trucast LLC of Newberry. She was of the Wesleyan Faith.
She is survived by her son, Troy Mars and his wife, Laura of Little Mountain; her sister, Harriett E. Allen of Liberty; her brother, Dewey Earwood of Prosperity; her grandchildren Wade “Bennett” Mars and Zander John Mars; two special nieces, Deb Cassady and Angela Chappell and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Sylvia Williams and her beloved dog, Koryn.
She was predeceased by her son Dennis Wade Mars and two brothers, George Earwood and Joe Earwood.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
