Amy Lee Smith Poston, age 48, wife of Jamie Poston, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home.

She was born on September 3, 1977 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the daughter of Larry Smith of Whitmire and Cheryl Willard Wilson (Johnny) of Whitmire.

Amy is a graduate of Whitmire High School, received her BS Degree in Nursing from USC Upstate, worked as RN at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union, a former employee of Harbor Freight in Newberry, attended Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church, an avid reader and loved to draw.

Amy is survived by her sons, James Poston, Jacob Poston, Joseph Poston; her stepdaughter, Beth Miller (Dillon); her step grandchildren, Isabella, Adelyn, Reece; her cousins, Kerry Baker Sligh, Connie Baker, Lee Willard (Ashley), Deanna Willard; her aunts, Susan Willard, Loretta Willard, and many members of the Smith and Stroud families.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jason Todd Smith and her uncle, Danny Willard.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, 3:00 P.M. at Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Mark Stevenson and Rev. Preston Foxworth officiating.
