Alan M. Dawley

Alan M. Dawley age 66, of 1110 Hwy. 66, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 in the Newberry Hospital.
He was born in Coral Gables, FL and was a son of the late Fred and Elner Balkum Dawley.
Mr. Dawley was retired from the Thomas and Betts Company and was a member of Gods Healing Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carol B. Dawley of the home; two sons, Alan M. Dawley and Gene Dawley, both of Lancaster; two step-daughters, Becky Ellison and Crystal Lominick, both of Whitmire; a step-son, Ray Ellison (Susan) of Whitmire; three brothers, Duane Dawley and David Dawley, both of Lancaster and Fred Dawley of Texas; and six grandchildren, Alannah Dawley of Lancaster, Will Lominick, Anna Lominick, Mark Lominick, Alex Ellison, and Caylee Ellison, all of Whitmire.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Austin Gambrell.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gods Healing Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gods Healing Springs Baptist Church in Whitmire.
