Ralph D. Nelson, age 80 of 1690 Hwy. 308, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late John Lewis and Minnie Lee Pulley Nelson.
Mr. Nelson retired from Clinton Mills in 1992; was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church and a Korean War Army Veteran.
Surviving are his son, Ralph David Nelson Jr. of Laurens, three daughters, Sandra Ruth Nelson of Clinton, Deborah Mae Nelson of Pelzer and Nancy Ida Martini of Greer; two brothers, Thomas Edward “Skeet” Nelson, Sr. and Bob Wess Nelson both of Laurens, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Hurricane Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Sandra Nelson, 225 Holmes Bridge Road, Clinton, SC.
