Luther Eugene Huneycutt, age 68, of 2346 Old Newberry Highway, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late James V. and Lillian Earlene Crisp Huneycutt.
Mr. Huneycutt was a farmer; attended the Evans Street Church of God and was a member of Roseboro Lodge #195 and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Huneycutt of the home, one son, Vernon Eugene Huneycutt of Whitmire, one daughter and her husband, Donna Lynn and John Martin Turpie of Warrenville; one brother, James Vernon Huneycutt, Jr. of Whitmire, one sister, Carolyn Joann Smitherman of Clinton and two grandchildren, Justin M. Turpie and Kayla A. Huneycutt.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his son, Vernon Huneycutt, 2296 Old Newberry Hwy., Whitmire, SC
